About Crowdfunding with Centenary College of Louisiana

Crowdfunding is a powerful tool for fueling initiatives through crowd-sourced philanthropic giving called “crowdfunding.” It is a way to generate excitement, inspire philanthropy, highlight the best of Centenary College, and connect our donors directly to the meaningful work being done on campus every day. Through crowdfunding, you and your team can partner with us on your projects and raise the funds you need to be successful. Together, we can provide a dynamic learning environment and embrace community involvement as a fundamental foundation of our mission.


We eagerly seek projects that:

  • Will be compelling to donors
  • Highlight outstanding students, projects, programs, etc.
  • Represent the Centenary College Mission 
  • Show impact
  • Have a committed project team
  • Have realistic (or scale-able) fundraising goals

A crowdfunding expert will provide training, guidance, and strategy sessions with project teams, to develop a specific strategy and unique plan for each project. If you are interested in being considered for the platform, please complete the application:

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I participate as a donor?

Browse the projects and select one that you want to support. Select your gift level and complete the secure process. Then be sure to spread the word! You can share your support of Centenary University of Louisiana projects on social media and via email, encouraging others to support and increasing the projects chances of successfully raising its goal. 


Is my donation tax deductible?

All funds received will be deposited with and distributed through Centenary College of Louisiana, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Your payment may be considered a charitable contribution.  Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of charitable contributions.  


Where is my donation going?

Your donation will be deposited with Centenary College of Louisiana and distributed to your selected project team.  Gifts are subject to Centenary College of Louisiana policies for donations. 


What if my project doesn't meet its funding goal?

If a funding goal is not met, the collected funds will still go to the project you selected to donate to.   


What if my project is overfunded?

If a funding goal is exceeded, the additional funds may be used towards the overall goals.
